About…
Savannah Rose Doughty (she/her) is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College, where she studied Data Science and Sport & Entertainment Management. Her foundation in statistics, research, and analytical thinking informs her nuanced approach to theatre direction and making, one where she prioritizes attention to detail, purpose in movement, and the ability to grow. She strives to cultivate a rehearsal space built on camaraderie and collaboration, a space in which people can connect and make memories. Some of the greatest days of her life were spent in rehearsal rooms, and her goal is to continue chasing that feeling, and to foster a space in which others feel the same, for the rest of her life.
She is interested in all facets of theatre creation. Savannah has a background in theatre direction, production management, arts administration, lighting design, set design, choreography, and spreading the gospel of supporting low-budget theatre.
Savannah is a triple Capricorn. Her favorite musicals are Sunday in the Park with George, Merrily We Roll Along, and Cats. Her favorite cast recordings are Company (2007), Candide (1956), and Falsettos (2016). Her favorite movies are Across the Universe, Moonstruck, and The Red Shoes.
